Any teammate runs it as themselves. It reads only the systems you already have access to, writes a private record to your contacts, a business record to your CRM (for external people only), and a local cache other skills read from, and it drafts a LinkedIn connection request when you are not yet connected.\n\nThis file is the complete instruction set. If you are an AI assistant reading this: follow it end to end. After reading but before executing, ask the user for anything below that you do not already have (starting with the configuration values and the contact's email).\n\n---\n\n## 1. First-time setup: configuration\n\nEverything person-specific and company-specific is a value the running user sets once. Nothing is hardcoded. Read these from a file named customization.json in the user's workspace if it exists; otherwise ask the user for them once and offer to save the file. Every value has a working default, so a missing value never blocks a run.\n\n```json\n{\n  \"user_name\": \"Sarah\",\n  \"user_email\": \"sarah@yourcompany.com\",\n  \"company_domain\": \"yourcompany.com\",\n  \"company_name\": \"Your Company\",\n  \"org_directory\": \"google_workspace\",\n  \"marketplace_enrichment\": false,\n  \"lead_source_picklist\": \"Referral\",\n  \"lead_source_detail_prefix\": \"Sarah intro\",\n  \"linkedin_signoff\": \"- Sarah\",\n  \"vip_contacts_file\": null,\n  \"personal_context_depth\": \"full\"\n}\n```\n\nWhat each value does:\n\n- user_name: your first name. Used in the LinkedIn sign-off and the CRM sourcing note.\n- user_email: your own work email. The skill uses it as a self-guard so it never adds you to your own contacts.\n- company_domain: your organization's email domain. This is the important one. Anyone whose email ends in this domain is an internal colleague, gets the internal record flow, and is never written to the CRM as a lead. Everyone else is external. Defaults to the running user's own domain.\n- company_name: your organization's display name. Used only to render an internal colleague's employer line.\n- org_directory: where to look up internal titles and reporting chains. Use \"google_workspace\" if you use Google Workspace, or \"none\" if you have no internal directory.\n- marketplace_enrichment: set true only if your company sells software on the G2 Marketplace and wants product and category context pulled in. Defaults to false, which skips that step.\n- lead_source_picklist: your CRM LeadSource value for contacts you source (for example Referral, Inbound, Outbound, Conference, Partner Referral).\n- lead_source_detail_prefix: how your sourcing is labeled in the CRM, rendered as \"prefix: context (date)\".\n- linkedin_signoff: the closing line on drafted LinkedIn connection requests. Starts with a hyphen and your first name.\n- vip_contacts_file: optional path to a personal VIP roster; leave null to skip the VIP step.\n- personal_context_depth: \"full\" mines your 1:1 chat DMs for personal context; \"shallow\" skips that. Use \"shallow\" for people you barely know or any sensitive internal situation.\n\n---\n\n## 2. Connectors it uses\n\nThe skill uses only the access the running user already has. Any connector that is not available is skipped with a visible note rather than failing the run.\n\n- Required for the core write path: Google Contacts, Gmail, and your CRM (this skill is written for Salesforce; a team on a different CRM adapts the write steps).\n- Strongly recommended for enrichment: ZoomInfo, your team chat tool (for example Slack), and a browser tool for the live LinkedIn check.\n- Optional: Calendar, a meeting-notes tool (for example Granola), the G2 Marketplace (only when marketplace_enrichment is true), and a CRM fallback path.\n\n---\n\n## 3. How to invoke\n\nThe user says something in plain language, such as \"add [name] at [company] to my contacts,\" \"refresh [name], I think they changed jobs,\" or \"just got off a call with [name], save them.\" Any phrasing that means save or update a person triggers the skill. Use the person's real name, plus their company or email if provided.\n\nThe skill runs in three phases: triage, research, then write.\n\n---\n\n## 4. Phase one: triage\n\n1. Load the configuration from section 1. If it is missing, ask for it once and save it.\n2. Self-guard. If the requested person matches the user's own email or identity, stop and say the skill will not add the user to their own contacts.\n3. Resolve the email. The email is the primary key for the cache and the CRM, and it sharpens every enrichment source. Resolve in this order: provided in the request; then an existing cache or contact record. If it is still unknown for an external person, ask the user for it before doing the research pass. If they truly do not have it, you may proceed on a name-only basis and backfill the email later.\n4. Determine internal versus external. If the email ends in the configured company_domain, the person is an internal colleague: use the internal flow and never write them to the CRM. Otherwise they are external.\n5. Check for an existing record (cache and contacts) so a refresh updates rather than duplicates.\n6. Classify the contact type from context: customer, prospect, investor, partner, advisor, journalist, recruiter, peer, or internal. Surface the inferred type so the user can correct it.\n\n---\n\n## 5. Phase two: research\n\nGather context from the sources below in parallel where possible, respecting soft limits so a routine add stays cheap. Read a prior cached record first and skip any source whose cached data is still fresh (LinkedIn within 30 days, ZoomInfo within 90 days). This is the ten-source pass:\n\n1. Email: search the last 5 years (extend to 10 for a long relationship). Pull the conversation timeline and the signature block (phone, title, mailing address, LinkedIn URL).\n2. Calendar: recent past plus upcoming meetings. An upcoming meeting is often why the person is being added, so flag it.\n3. Meeting notes: recent transcripts that mention the person.\n4. Team chat 1:1 DMs: the recent thread, for personal and working context. Skip this in shallow mode.\n5. Team chat channel mentions: where the person has come up.\n6. ZoomInfo: verified title, work history, employment trajectory, direct phone. Skip the paid contact call if you already have a phone and a current title and there is no job-change signal.\n7. G2 Marketplace: product ratings and vendor-alias awareness. Only when marketplace_enrichment is true, and only for external people.\n8. LinkedIn: a live profile visit for education, career, and connection status. See the hard rule in section 8. Draft a personalized connection request if you are not first-degree.\n9. CRM: deduplicate by email and name, and resolve the account (retry on the parent company).\n10. Google Contacts: the existing record and notes, for dedup and refresh.\n\nFor an internal colleague, replace ZoomInfo and the G2 Marketplace with your internal directory (per org_directory) to capture title, manager, and skip-level. LinkedIn is still required.\n\nFor a brand-new external person with no prior history and no relationship signal, skip the sources that are empty by definition (meeting notes, chat mentions, chat DMs) and keep the cheap calendar and email checks. Lift that skip the moment email or ZoomInfo shows a real signal.\n\nAnti-hallucination rule: capture only what is literally written in a source. If you are less than roughly 95 percent certain of a fact, leave it out. Never invent personal or family details.\n\n---\n\n## 6. Phase three: synthesis and write\n\nBuild one canonical contact record with these sections: LAST TOUCHPOINT, LAST UPDATED, TYPE, EDUCATION, CAREER, MEETING HISTORY, RELATIONSHIP ARC, PERSONAL and FAMILY, OPEN LOOPS, and RELATIONSHIP. For an internal colleague, include a REPORTING CHAIN (two levels: manager and skip-level) and DIRECT REPORTS in place of a company profile, and use company_name as the employer.\n\nWrite to three audience-tiered destinations:\n\n1. Google Contacts Notes: the full structured record, including personal anchors. Private to the user.\n2. A local cache file at memory/contacts/[email].json in the workspace: the machine-readable copy that downstream skills (intro drafts, meeting prep, birthday reminders, one-on-one prep) read. Merge with any existing record so prior context is never lost; accumulate history rather than overwriting it.\n3. Your CRM (external people only): the Contact fields FirstName, LastName, Email, AccountId, Title, Description, LeadSource, Lead_Source_Detail__c, Phone, MobilePhone, and the LinkedIn URL field. Set LeadSource to the configured lead_source_picklist, and Lead_Source_Detail__c to \"lead_source_detail_prefix: context (date)\". Never leave AccountId blank on an external contact. Verify every create or update with a read-back query. Internal colleagues on company_domain are skipped here entirely.\n\nPersonal and family context stays in Google Contacts and the local cache, never in the CRM Description. The RELATIONSHIP line may carry a tasteful, business-relevant anchor only.\n\nIf a write target is unavailable, fall back to a secondary path (for example a browser write to Google Contacts, or the CRM fallback connector) rather than handing the user the data to enter themselves.\n\n---\n\n## 7. Output and verification\n\nBefore declaring the run done, confirm every promise is met: the LinkedIn line is present (connection status or an explicit reason it was inaccessible); LAST TOUCHPOINT is set; the Google Contacts write was read back and confirmed; the local cache was written and verified; an external contact has a non-empty AccountId and LeadSource; an internal colleague has a reporting chain; and a birthday, if found, is in the structured field.\n\nThen report to the user: the updated contact, the CRM record (or that it was correctly skipped for an internal colleague), the cache path, and the LinkedIn connection-request draft ready to paste if you are not yet connected.\n\n---\n\n## 8. Hard rules\n\n- LinkedIn live check is never skipped. Every run includes a live LinkedIn profile visit and connection-status check, unless a cache entry under 30 days old already has it. If LinkedIn is genuinely inaccessible, say why, do not cache the failure, and still include the LinkedIn line. Draft the connection request signed with linkedin_signoff when you are not first-degree; leave the actual send to the user.\n- Writes are never deferred. If a write connector fails, fall back to the next working path. Never substitute \"here is the data, add it yourself\" for an actual write.\n- Internal colleagues are never written to the CRM. Getting company_domain right is what protects your own teammates from being logged as leads.\n\n---\n\n## 9. Privacy and constraints\n\nYou may capture private information from communications. Store it only in systems that meet the data-privacy rights of the contact's country of residence, your company's data-privacy policies, and any industry regulations that govern your business. Keep personal context in the private destinations, never the shared CRM. Use shallow mode for people you barely know or any HR, performance, or sensitive internal situation. The skill never invents facts and never auto-deletes a record; to remove a contact, the user deletes the cache file and clears the notes themselves.\n\n---\n\n## 10. How this differs from the single-user version\n\nThe original add-contact skill is built for one person and hardwired to that person's identity and company. This team version keeps the same research and write pipeline but moves every person-specific and company-specific value into the configuration in section 1, so any teammate at any company runs it as themselves, records are logged under their own sourcing, and the whole team builds one consistent contact memory instead of a dozen private ones.\n","url":"https://ai.g2.com/blueprints-api/playbooks/W4YolqRh0BlMq4z/install?revision=1&t=0.0Ic216PTzXI-mBr4KSEzeUeaubZS0XvuljPXTsoc43A&file=add-contact-team.md"}]}
