Afterpaths is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server and Python tool that provides unified session memory, analytics, and automatic rule extraction for teams using AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. It exposes capabilities such as cross-session search, session summarization, rules extraction (including decisions, dead ends, and gotchas), and analytics—making coding agents progressively smarter by retaining and surfacing collective learnings. It is designed for AI engineering teams, agent developers, or anyone managing multiple coding agents and wishing to prevent repeated mistakes, maximize cross-tool insights, and automatically capture best practices from coding sessions.
