Buddy Mcp is an archived, open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and terminal companion tool originally built for deep integration with Claude Code's ephemeral /buddy companion feature. It functions as a standalone gacha-style system, letting users roll, customize, interact with, and manage unique AI 'buddies' via a terminal interface. While the original tight UI integration is no longer possible due to upstream removal, Buddy Mcp still offers an interactive TUI (text user interface) builder, random reroll mechanics, personality and stats tracking, and natural language interaction—all performed locally with no external server required.
