Chisel

Chisel is a Unix-native, Rust-powered toolkit designed to provide precise and secure file operations for AI agents using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It exposes familiar Unix tools (like grep, sed, awk, and more) in a minimal, context-efficient manner and offers strict path confinement for safety. Chisel is embeddable in any MCP server (Rust, Node.js, Python via WASM) and designed to minimize the token and context overhead of file editing, making it especially suitable for LLM agent environments where cost and safety are critical.
