Codeix

Codeix is an open-source tool for fast, semantic code search and indexing designed specifically for AI coding agents and developers. It builds structured, shareable codebase indexes that are easily consumable by LLMs and AI dev tools, significantly reducing the token cost and time spent on codebase navigation, symbol lookup, and reference tracking. Codeix uses a local, portable index format and offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for seamless integration with agentic workflows in environments like Cursor or Claude Desktop.
