Dicom MCP Server is an open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed for medical imaging systems. It lets AI assistants and applications query, read, and transfer DICOM data from PACS/VNA servers for research, development, and local privacy-preserving workflows. The tool supports patient and study search, DICOM report reading, DICOM file movement between nodes, and utilities for node management and validation. It is aimed at developers, AI researchers, and technologists working with medical images and local DICOM data infrastructures (not for clinical use).
