About Dola
Dola is ByteDance's international AI assistant, rebranded from Cici in November 2025, targeting markets outside mainland China. It is the overseas sibling of Doubao, China's most widely used AI chatbot, and surpassed 10 million daily active users by end of 2025. Dola supports chat, writing assistance, translation, image generation, photo editing, video generation, and slide creation across web, iOS, Android, Windows, and as a browser extension. It is free to use, powered partly by OpenAI's GPT series and Google Gemini for international users.
