About Dynatrace Mcp

Dynatrace MCP is an open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allows AI assistants and compatible clients (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, VSCode, ChatGPT) to access real-time observability data from Dynatrace environments. It exposes tools for querying logs, metrics, security vulnerabilities, and production incidents using both Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) and natural language. Key use cases include DevOps automation, contextual debugging, multi-phase incident investigation, and security compliance monitoring. The server supports automated notifications, entity discovery, cross-data source correlation, and cost control features such as Grail query budget tracking. It is ideal for developers, DevOps engineers, SREs, and security professionals integrating Dynatrace insights into modern AI workflows.
