Filesystem

Filesystem is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes file management capabilities—reading, creating, and editing files—to AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible clients. It allows these clients to automate local and remote file operations, including viewing file contents, creating or overwriting files, searching and replacing text, and text insertion at specific lines. Filesystem MCP integrates primarily with local filesystems and can interact with external systems such as email (for saving attachments) and calendar APIs (for report generation) via downstream tasks handled by the assistant.
