Freeagent MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects FreeAgent accounting to AI assistants like Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf. It exposes a suite of accounting tools to MCP-compatible clients, enabling them to perform tasks such as listing bank accounts and transactions, explaining and approving transactions with attached receipts, creating expense claims (including mileage), and retrieving FreeAgent expense categories and chart of accounts.
