Galaxy Mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed for the Galaxy bioinformatics platform. It enables AI assistants and MCP-compatible clients to connect to Galaxy instances, search and execute bioinformatics tools, manage workflows, manipulate data histories, and upload files. The server integrates deeply with the Galaxy API (via BioBlend), supports both direct API key and OAuth flows, and is suitable for researchers, bioinformaticians, and organizations needing automated, programmatic, or AI-driven access to Galaxy’s computational resources and workflows.
