Hyades

Hyades is a command-line tool and MCP server for rendering LaTeX math expressions into Unicode or ASCII text for environments where rich formatting is unavailable, such as terminals, code comments, or emails. It supports nearly complete LaTeX math compatibility, advanced text/layout features, and can function interactively or as an MCP math rendering backend for AI assistants (like Claude). Hyades is highly cross-platform (Linux, macOS, Windows, and Web via WASM) and integrates with editors like Helix, Neovim, and VS Code.
