Hyades

Hyades is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes a powerful Unicode/ASCII typesetting engine capable of rendering LaTeX math and tables as pure Unicode or ASCII text. Through the MCP interface, AI assistants (such as Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and others) can remotely access Hyades' features to dynamically generate and render mathematical expressions, tables, or text formatting where rich formatting is not available (e.g., code comments, emails, or terminal displays). It integrates natively as a standalone CLI or via a remote API, and offers IDE extensions for VSCode, Helix, and Neovim.
