Logbook MCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for developers that turns any MCP-compatible AI assistant into a persistent logbook for software projects. Developers can use it to capture notes, TODOs (including inline code TODOs), decisions, reminders, blockers, and more—without leaving the editor or AI chat. It features built-in and custom topic categorization, persistent full-text search, and seamless integration with developer tools and workflows. Storage is local-first (SQLite or Obsidian vault), ensures full privacy, and works across popular dev environments and AI assistants including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, and Codex CLI.
