Markdown Vault MCP

Markdown Vault MCP is an open source MCP (Model Context Protocol) server designed to enable AI clients to interact with local or remote collections of Markdown files (such as Obsidian vaults, documentation folders, or Zettelkasten libraries). It exposes full-text and semantic (vector-based) search, frontmatter-aware indexing, read/write/edit operations, and access to non-markdown attachments (e.g., PDFs, images).
