Nursing Home Database (nhd-mcp) is an MCP server that exposes curated U.S. nursing home data — sourced from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) — to AI assistants and developer applications via JSON-RPC 2.0. It aggregates ratings, health inspection reports, staffing levels, and ownership records for over 15,000 skilled nursing facilities across the United States, updated monthly. Developers and AI systems can query this structured dataset through the MCP server or a companion REST API, enabling practical questions about facility quality, comparisons, historical changes, and ownership connections without parsing raw CMS bulk files. Fair-use access is provided publicly, while high-volume or commercial use requires a custom data arrangement.
