Obsidian Sync Mcp

Obsidian Sync Mcp is an open-source MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that allows AI agents to access and interact with your Obsidian vault. It exposes a suite of tools to read, write, edit, move, list, and manage notes, folders, and tags, as well as access note metadata and navigate the internal knowledge graph of your vault. The server can be run locally using filesystem access, or paired with Self-hosted LiveSync for cloud-based, always-on access via CouchDB, making your vault accessible to AI agents even when your local machine is offline. It is ideal for power users, researchers, personal knowledge management enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to enable agents, LLMs, and AI workflows with access to their private Obsidian notes securely.
