About Onecite

OneCite is an open-source command-line tool and Python library designed for researchers and academics to manage, parse, and clean up citation and reference lists. It automatically resolves strong identifiers such as DOIs, arXiv IDs, PMIDs, ISBNs, and URLs into properly formatted BibTeX entries by querying trusted data sources like CrossRef, PubMed, arXiv, Semantic Scholar, Google Books, DataCite, Zenodo, and GitHub. OneCite also supports plain-text reference suggestions, handles more than 7 reference types, and ensures accurate, auditable, and reproducible citation data for research workflows.
