It allows you to define your business metrics, dimensions, and rules once in YAML, exposing them simultaneously via familiar SQL protocols (like PostgreSQL wire and Arrow Flight SQL), REST, and the AI-focused Model Context Protocol (MCP). This lets BI tools and AI agents access consistent, governed metrics without directly referencing raw database schemas; it supports multi-dialect SQL compilation and includes a rule engine to guarantee data accuracy and context.
