Orionbelt Semantic Layer is an API-first MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that enables AI assistants and agents to access, compile, and execute YAML-defined semantic models into optimized, dialect-specific SQL across leading data platforms: BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, ClickHouse, Dremio, Databricks, DuckDB, and MySQL. It exposes a full-featured REST API and an interactive Gradio UI for model management, semantic query compilation, and execution, facilitating business intelligence, analytics, and semantic querying with connections to BI tools (DBeaver, Tableau, Power BI) and interoperability with AI frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI, n8n).
