PiloTY is an open source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to give autonomous AI agents a persistent, interactive terminal that mirrors human terminal usage. Unlike stateless tool calls, PiloTY lets agents maintain state across commands, supporting long-running processes, interactive debugging, SSH devops, and persistent shells, thereby enabling more humanlike and complex operations. It is ideal for developers and integrators building persistent OS-level agent interactions, such as for AI coding assistants, devops bots, or autonomous agents needing full terminal access.
