Proxy Doctor

Proxy Doctor is an MCP server designed to help developers and AI assistants diagnose and troubleshoot proxy misconfigurations that disrupt AI-enabled coding tools like Cursor, VS Code, and Windsurf. It runs on macOS and partially on Linux, systematically inspecting multiple layers of proxy configuration including system proxies, disabled/proxy residue, port health, editor-specific settings, and lingering environment variables. Proxy Doctor offers CLI and programmatic (MCP) access, provides evidence-based diagnosis, shows actionable fixes, and can run in daemon mode for continuous monitoring.
