About Pyats MCP

Pyats MCP is an MCP server that acts as a bridge between Cisco pyATS/Genie and AI agents (such as Claude, LangGraph, and others), allowing automated network show and configuration commands and network state queries through JSON-RPC 2.0 over STDIO (not HTTP). It enables programmatic, agent-driven networking automation, device management, configuration, and health monitoring for any testbed or multi-vendor environment. Credentials and connection parameters are handled securely through environment variables, and communication is stateless and secure via process stdin/stdout.
