ShearLab (Shearlets) is a MATLAB library developed at Technische Universität Berlin for processing two- and three-dimensional data using a class of basis functions called shearlets. Shearlets are a directional representation system extending the wavelet framework, particularly well-adapted to represent anisotropic features such as curves that are crucial in multidimensional data. The library provides faithful algorithmic realizations of 2D and 3D shearlet transforms (and their inverses) with optional CUDA support, and has been proven effective for image processing tasks such as denoising, inpainting, and feature extraction.
