Slack MCP Server is a self-hosted or managed Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables AI assistants (like Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and others) to interact with Slack workspaces via 16 tools. It provides rich Slack workspace access—including searching messages, exporting conversations, listing and searching users, sending messages, and managing reactions—without requiring a registered Slack app or admin approval. Designed for developers, technical teams, and AI power users, Slack MCP Server uses browser session tokens (instead of OAuth), supports both read-only and write actions, and integrates with multiple LLM-powered clients through a secure, session-based architecture.
