Sota Mcp is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server designed for Summits on the Air (SOTA) — a popular amateur radio activity. It exposes live summit activation spots, scheduled activation alerts, detailed summit information lookup, and geospatial search for nearby SOTA summits to any MCP-compatible AI assistant. The server integrates directly with the public SOTA API without requiring authentication, making it ideal for radio enthusiasts, SOTA activators and chasers, or AI integrations seeking real-time SOTA data. Configuration is simple for a range of clients including Claude, ChatGPT Desktop, Cursor, and VS Code.
