About Stooq
Stooq is an open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, written in Rust, that fetches stock price data—both real-time and historical—from stooq.com. It supports five major markets (Japan, US, UK, Hong Kong, Germany), allowing users to easily access stock market information for analysis or integration into their tools, such as Claude Code or Claude Desktop. Stooq is aimed at developers and researchers who need to retrieve financial market data for personal use, learning, or prototyping purposes.
