Vibe Mcp is an open source MCP (Model Context Protocol) server providing a real-time social layer for AI-assisted developers. It enables features such as direct messaging (DMs), presence broadcasting (see who's online and what they're working on), status updates, message inbox management, discovery of other developers, and sharing of recent achievements ('what you shipped'). Vibe Mcp works across multiple editors—including Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, JetBrains IDEs, and any MCP-compatible client—by integrating with the slashvibe.dev API and using GitHub OAuth for persistent developer identity. Its core audience is AI-focused developers who want collaboration, real-time interaction, and community features directly from their development environment.
