XHelio-SPICE exposes precise spacecraft ephemeris and coordinate transformation tools to MCP-compatible AI assistants, making it possible to query positions, velocities, and trajectories for planetary missions and natural bodies. It integrates with JPL's NAIF SPICE data (automatically managing SPICE kernels), enabling hands-free access to heliophysics and planetary mission data via LLMs like Claude and Cursor. The server is especially suited for researchers, mission planners, educators, and developers working in astronomy, planetary science, and space mission analysis.
