Install Command

Run this command to deploy the blueprint to your environment.

What problem does this solve?

Turns Claude into a personal productivity partner that captures your thoughts, organizes your tasks, plans your days, and keeps everything synchronized. It eliminates the friction of scattered notes, forgotten tasks, and context-switching across multiple apps by running the entire GTD methodology through natural conversation.

How does it work?

Once installed and configured, you talk to Claude throughout your day to manage your Second Brain. Say 'Capture:' to log thoughts without categorizing them, run daily planning each morning to prioritize work, process your inbox 3x per week to clarify and organize, and do a brief evening closeout to reflect and prep tomorrow. The system stores everything in plain Markdown files in your Obsidian vault, organized by the PARA method (Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives) plus Zettelkasten permanent notes. Output: a living knowledge base that stays current because Claude handles the methodology overhead.

What's the biggest win?

Your brain stays focused on thinking while the system handles capture, organization, and prioritization automatically.

What should I know technically?

Configuration persists in Claude Memory, not in files, because Claude Desktop skills run sandboxed without direct filesystem access. The Filesystem extension grants access to your Obsidian vault. For Claude Code, native file system access is available and a config fallback exists at ~/.second-brain/config.json.

What should I watch out for?

Requires Obsidian (free) and Claude Desktop with the Filesystem extension or Claude Code. Initial setup takes about 10 minutes and involves providing your vault path and personal goals. The system is designed for users who prefer natural conversation over clicking through UI. Works best with a daily 20-25 minute time commitment for captures, planning, and reviews.

Key Features

Quick Capture

Log thoughts, tasks, or ideas instantly without categorization. Timestamps and appends to today's inbox automatically.

Daily Planning

Generates a prioritized task list each morning by scanning your projects and asking about your energy and constraints.

Inbox Processing

Clarifies vague captures, routes actionable items to projects or areas, and organizes knowledge into permanent notes.

Daily Closeout

Evening reflection that marks task progress, captures learnings, and drafts tomorrow's plan.

GTD + Zettelkasten Methodology

Implements David Allen's Getting Things Done combined with atomic note-taking, all through conversation.
