EdgarTools

EdgarTools is an open-source MCP (Model Context Protocol) server providing programmatic access to all SEC EDGAR filings, metadata, and financial statements. It exposes 11 tools and 7 prompts for AI assistants and LLM clients, enabling extraction and standardized parsing of 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 13F, Form-4, XBRL data, balance sheets, cashflow statements, and insider transactions. Designed for integration with AI agents and any MCP-compatible assistant, it supports cross-company comparisons and converts large-scale financial filings into structured Python objects and Pandas DataFrames for downstream analysis.
