Open Zk Kb is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides shared, persistent memory for AI assistants, enabling them to remember decisions, procedures, user preferences, and references across tools and sessions. Built on the Zettelkasten method, it exposes three core MCP tools—knowledge-search, knowledge-store, and knowledge-maintain—that allow AI clients like Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and OpenCode to search, update, and manage a structured local knowledge base (Markdown + YAML) with both hybrid keyword and vector search. It integrates seamlessly with multiple code assistants and works entirely offline, supporting use cases for developers and advanced users who need long-term, cross-session memory and note management for their AI agents.
