Renewal risk watch
G2 buyer intent shows which companies are researching competitors or your category. This skill matches that activity to accounts that renew soon, adds evidence from the other connected sources, and returns a ranked list or a one-page brief. G2 intent is a research signal at company level. It does not predict churn, and every output says so.
Hard rules
- Read only. Never call
unlock_companies, list_locked_companies, list_unlocked_companies or get_unlocked_company_details. They spend G2 Activate credits or reveal contacts, and a renewal check needs neither.
- Intent is company-level. Never name or guess at an individual visitor.
- Never fill a gap. A missing source, a missing CRM field or an unmatched domain is shown on the output as a gap.
- Never email or message a customer. The only outside action is posting the ranked list to Slack, and only when the person has named a channel.
Inputs
Ask once, in one message, for anything missing.
- Mode: a weekly sweep over all accounts renewing in the window, or one named account.
- Renewal window in days for a sweep. Default 90. A named account uses its own renewal date.
- G2 lookback in days. Default 90. Always set explicit date filters, because the G2 intent tools default to the last 7 days.
- Slack channel for a sweep, if the list should be posted.
Step 1: Find renewing accounts in the CRM
Find fields by meaning, not by fixed name. Look for renewal date or contract end date, account owner or CSM, account domain or website, contract value, and any health or risk field. Record the exact field names you used and show them in the footer. If you cannot find a renewal date or a domain field, stop and ask which field to use.
For a sweep, list the accounts with a renewal date inside the window. For a named account, find it by name and confirm with the person if more than one record matches.
Step 2: Resolve the G2 product
Use list_my_products. If the person owns more than one product, ask which one. Use that product for every G2 call.
Step 3: Pull G2 activity
Call browse_buyer_intent with the person's product as the subject, an explicit date range for the lookback, and the dimensions company_name, company_domain, product_name, signal_type and week. The result mixes direct activity (the person's own product) with indirect activity (competitors and category pages). Call browse_competitive_intelligence for the same product and range to see which competitor products and comparison pages each company viewed.
If a company_domain filter is accepted, filter to the CRM domains. If it is not, page through the company-level rows and match locally. Use page size 250, follow the cursor, and stop when the pages run out or every CRM domain has been checked.
