Safety checkedSynthesize Research Into Findings
A skill that ranks research findings by evidence strength, identifies themes and surprises, and outputs product implications.
What problem does this solve?
Synthesizes research interviews and notes into findings ranked by evidence, so you spot signal over noise and act on what users actually did, not what they said they did. It counts participant evidence (e.g. '7 of 10 hesitated here'), distinguishes stated preference from behavior, flags gaps in coverage, and pairs every finding with a product implication.
How does it work?
- Say 'synthesize research' or 'analyze interviews'. 2. Claude asks you to paste research notes or transcripts, the research question, and participant count. 3. It synthesizes into: key findings ranked by evidence strength (with participant count, confidence level, and product implication), themes with frequency and representative quotes, surprises that contradicted assumptions, gaps in coverage or segments not explored, and recommended actions prioritized by evidence. Output: a research brief your team can act on, with clear links from evidence to product decisions.

What's required to run this?
Triggered by 'synthesize research', 'analyze interviews', 'research findings', or 'interview synthesis'. Requires raw research notes or transcripts (not summaries) and participant count. Works best with 6+ participants; smaller samples are flagged as signals rather than conclusions.
Key Features
Evidence-Ranked Findings
Findings ordered by strength: 'all 10 participants' outranks '3 of 10'. Includes confidence level (high/medium/low) with reasoning.
Behavior Over Stated Preference
Distinguishes 'users said they wanted X' from 'users actually did X'. Behavior always wins in product decisions.
Actual Quotes
Uses participant quotes as evidence, never paraphrases. Quotes are primary research; paraphrases are interpretation.
Product Implications
Every finding includes 'so what': the concrete product action implied by the data.
Coverage Gaps
Flags segments not represented, questions not explored, and conditions under which findings may not generalize.
