Sales Blueprint
ICP-Filtered Outreach Lists from G2 Buyer Intent
Stop wasting rep time on weak intent signals and mismatched accounts. The workflow ranks ICP-fit buyers by readiness, finds the right contact, and supplies tailored outreach angles for the strongest opportunities.
What problem does this solve?
Sales teams need an efficient way to showcase the value of Buyer Intent internally, find expansion opportunities in their book of business, and help customers put Intent data to use. Raw G2 Buyer Intent data returns many accounts with mixed signal quality, and sales reps lack the time to work out which accounts fit the vendor's ICP, how ready they are to buy, who to contact, and what angle to use.
How does it work?
Name the vendor or product on G2 to analyze. Pull the last 30 days of G2 Buyer Intent signals through the G2 MCP server, keeping only Competitor Pricing, Alternatives, and Comparison signals. Discard profile views and other signal types. Confirm which competitors to include, and drop signals tied to any others. Research the vendor's website, G2 profile, and case studies to draft an ICP covering industries, company size, geography, and buyer persona. Review the draft ICP and confirm or adjust it before any filtering happens. Filter accounts to those matching the confirmed ICP, then tier them as Ready now, High, or Low based on signal quality, quantity, and recency. Note the signal type beside each account. Enrich each account through ZoomInfo with the contact whose title best matches the buyer persona, pulling name, title, email, and LinkedIn URL. Write outreach ideas per account: subject line angle, opening hook, key message, CTA suggestion, and why the angle fits the competitor pair viewed. Use the same workflow internally to surface expansion opportunities across an existing book of business, or externally to walk customers through their own Intent data. Generate a two-page PDF with an accounts overview ranked by tier and an outreach ideas page for the top 2-3 accounts.
What's the biggest win?
Internally, sales teams can showcase the value of Buyer Intent and how efficient it is to use, including finding expansion opportunities in the book of business. Externally, customers can use Intent data easily without manual analysis. A prioritized, ICP-matched, SDR-ready outreach list with contacts and tailored angles is produced in one session, replacing manual filtering, tiering, contact research, and messaging prep.
What's required to run this?
Fetch only Competitor Pricing, Alternatives, and Comparison signals, and never include profile views. Always confirm the ICP before filtering; never skip that step. Keep the G2 signal out of any outreach copy. Never write 'we saw you on G2' or reference the comparison; use the signal only to inform timing and angle. Match the angle to the specific competitor pair viewed, and keep the tone peer-to-peer rather than salesy. Size the CTA for mid-funnel, such as 'add us to the evaluation' or a 20-minute working session. If fewer than 3 accounts pass the ICP filter, relax criteria such as industries or geography.
What are the constraints?
Results depend on ZoomInfo being connected; accounts without contact matches are noted and skipped for outreach. The default 30-day window and limited firmographic data in the signals can reduce ICP match accuracy. Outreach ideas are angles for the rep to adapt, not finished emails.
