Extract the Sharpest Angle for One Deep Post

0June 2026

Researches a topic across Reddit, X, and the web to find the single strongest non-consensus angle for long-form content.

What problem does this solve?

Generates one sharp, defensible angle for a long-form post by running a topic through six reasoning lenses in parallel and scoring each candidate against four tests. Most content tools default to the first plausible cut; singleangle surfaces the one angle your specific audience isn't making yet.

How does it work?

Invoke the skill with a topic and optional audience context (pain points, vocabulary, proof types). The skill researches the topic across Reddit, X, and the web, generates six candidate angles (one per lens: Reframe, Tension, Hidden Cost, Leading Indicator, Category Error, Counter-Case), scores each against four tests (stop-scroll, compression, non-consensus, relevance), and assembles the winning angle as a complete ingredient pack. You get the angle statement, three hooks, pro/con arguments, key stats with sources, quotable lines, one anchor anecdote, three closing-line variants, and full citations. Everything saves locally and renders for review.

What's required to run this?

Requires Python 3.8+ and uses standard library only (no external packages). Runs in Claude Code. API keys stored in ~/.config/singleangle/.env. Research completes in 2-5 minutes depending on topic complexity and internet speed. Falls back to web-only if OpenAI or xAI keys are missing, producing thinner Reddit and X engagement data.

Key Features

Six reasoning lenses

Parallel lens evaluation (Reframe, Tension, Hidden Cost, Leading Indicator, Category Error, Counter-Case) prevents blind spots and ensures multiple candidate angles.

Four-test scoring

Stop-scroll, compression, non-consensus, and relevance tests eliminate obvious verdicts and generic angles automatically.

Audience-sharpened selection

Optional audience profile (pain points, vocabulary, proof types) makes angle selection specific to your ICP instead of generic.

Complete ingredient pack

Winning angle, three hook variants, pro/con arguments, 5-8 key stats, quotable lines from named operators, anchor story (150-250 words), and three closing-line variants.

Multi-source research

Integrates Reddit discussions, X posts, and web articles with engagement signals to surface both consensus and edges in your topic.
